1. across from

across from在……的對面；在……對過。例如：

The hospital is across from the supermarket. 醫院在超市的對面。辨析：across與throughacross表示的是從某物的一邊到另一邊;指從表面上橫過。例如：

She ran across the road. 她從馬路上跑過。

through表示從內部通過，有“穿過，透過”等意思。例如： They went through the forest. 他們穿過森林。

2. in front ofin front of是介詞短語表示“在......前面”，of的後面經常用名詞或者代詞表示地點。例如： My brother sits in front of me in our classroom. 在我們的教室裡我弟弟坐在我的前面。註意：in front of強調一個物體在另一個物體外部的前面。in the front of強調一個物體在另一個物體內部的前面。例如： There is a big desk in the front of our classroom. 在我們教室裡前面有一個大課桌。 There is a big tree in front of our classroom. 在我們教室前面有一棵大樹。

6. turn （1）turn 做動詞時，可以做行為動詞也可以做連系動詞。做行為動詞時，意為“轉彎，轉身，翻轉，旋轉”。例如： Turn left at the end of the road. (行為動詞) 在路的盡頭左轉。 The leaves turn yellow. 葉子變黃瞭。（連系動詞）（2）turn 還可以作名詞，意為“輪流，順序”。例如： It’s your turn to clean the room. 輪到你打掃房間瞭。

1. Excuse me.

Excuse me的意思是“對不起、請原諒、打擾一下”。這是英語中經常用到的表示客氣的禮貌用語，用於向對方提出請求、詢問情況、打擾或者麻煩別人等情景中。Excuse me 具體用於以下幾種情況：（1）向別人問路的時候。例如： Excuse me, where is the bank? 勞駕，請問銀行在哪裡？（2）客氣地向別人提出請求（允許）。例如： Excuse me, may I use your bike? 對不起，我可以用一用你的自行車嗎？（3）向別人打聽或者詢問情況的時候。例如： Excuse me, is this your bike? 麻煩一下，這是你的自行車嗎？（4）和別人談話的時候需要中斷或者做別的事情。例如： Excuse me, just a moment. 對不起，請稍等一下。 Excuse me與sorry的辨析 Excuse me主要用於問路、插話、打擾或者麻煩別人的情景中；而sorry表示“道歉”，經常用於：（1）自己有過失，做錯瞭事情表示道歉。例如： I am sorry. Is there a bank near here?　這是there be的一般疑問句，把be動詞放在句子的開頭，句子結尾用問號，讀句子的時候用升調。對於這類句子的肯定回答是：Yes, there is.或者Yes, there are.否定回答是：No, there isn’ t.或者No, there aren’ t.註意：there be表示“某地有某物”；have (has)表示“某人有某物”。同學們在表達的時候不能相混，一定要分清楚。例如： There is a book on the desk. 桌子上有一本書。 I have a book on the desk. 我有一本書在桌子上。

3. 4. watch sb. doingwatch sb. doing sth.意為“看見某人正在做某事”，表示動作正在進行。watch sb. do sth.意為“看（見）某人做某事”，表示一次完整的動作過程或經常性、習慣性的動作。例如： Amy watched Mary play basketball on the playground yesterday. 昨天Amy在操場上觀看Mary打籃球。
